The iamge illustrates the following text

At lunchtime Sally sits down with her workmates in the canteen and asks them why they work at Sparky Shoes. James laughs and says 'To pay the bills'. He tells Sally that all the necessities of life cost money and to get money, people have to work.

Gail tells Sally that the money earned at work pays for things such as houses, food, and clothing. However, people also have to work to build the houses, grow the food and make the clothing - like shoes!
